Host Nation Qualifier: German Darts Championship 2020

September 19, 2020 ,

On Thursday, September 24th, the last two starting places for the German Darts Championship will be up for grabs at the Host Nation Qualifier. In addition to the usual rules that apply to PDC/ PDC Europe tournaments, due to the current situation around the Covid19 pandemic the following has to be considered for the participants:

Only one accompanying person per player is allowed without exception. In the entire venue masks are compulsory, except when the players are in their seat, during practice or during the game. In addition, the information signs and distance markings on site must be observed to ensure social distancing. This also includes refraining from handshakes or hugs with the opponent, markers or other players.

The Host Nation Qualifier is a so-called “self-mark competition”. This means that the first game on each board is marked by the last last drawn player on that board. After that, the loser of the previous game marks the next one.

Registrations for the Host Nation Qualifier will be accepted until Monday, September 21 (2pm BST) and can be made through the PDC’s registration system. German players who have not yet participated in a qualifier must first register in the system.
