The New Tour Card Holders have been decided: Five Germans join the Professional Circuit

January 15, 2025 , ,

The Qualifying Schools in Milton Keynes, England, and Kalkar, North Rhine-Westphalia, have concluded, delivering drama, surprises, and career highlights.

In Germany, a total of sixteen tour cards were awarded. Twelve cards were distributed via the ranking list and went to Cor Dekker, Pero Ljubic, Karel Sedlacek, Oskar Lukasiak, Tytus Kanik, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, Dominik Grüllich, Stefaan Henderyck, Max Czerwinski, Max Hopp, Leon Weber, and Marvin van Velzen. Additionally, daily winners Maik Kuivenhoven, Viktor Tingström, Kai Gotthardt, and Dennie Olde Kalter joined the ranks.

Thirteen more tour cards were handed out in England. Alongside the final day’s winner, Jim Long, and the already confirmed qualifiers Tom Bissell, Justin Hood, and Tavis Dudeney, nine additional players secured their places through the Q-School Order of Merit in the UK: Bradley Brooks, Darryl Pilgrim, Greg Ritchie, Adam Lipscombe, Adam Paxton, Cam Crabtree, Adam Warner, Andy Boulton, and Thomas Lovely.

Despite several familiar faces, 20 of the 29 players will make their debut in professional darts. With a total of twelve German tour card holders in 2025, darts in Germany has reached a new milestone.

Overview of the 2025 Tour Card Holders

Max Hopp makes his return to the Pro Tour after a two-year absence and could barely contain his emotions:

“I lost my last match. I put my hands over my head and immediately started crying, thinking I had blown it. I gave it everything, and in the end, it worked out. I’m absolutely over the moon.”

His compatriot Max Czerwinski, who had never competed on the PDC circuit before, was the biggest surprise at Germany’s Q-School. The 26-year-old from Dortmund has only been playing steel darts since 2022 but had an incredible run on the final day, securing enough points.

“I came here with no expectations,” Czerwinski said. “I can’t fully grasp it yet, but I’m really excited to play on the Pro Tour. I hope my level will improve on the tour because I don’t think I showed my best darts at Q-School.”

Players and fans will get their first taste of Pro Tour action in February with the year’s first two Players Championship events.
