The Elten Safety Shoes International Darts Open in Riesa is one of the most traditional tournaments on the PDC Europe calendar. For the tenth time, a European Tour event is taking place at the WT Energiesysteme Arena (formerly SACHSENarena). The "Iceman" Gerwyn Price has claimed victory four times, making him the record champion in Riesa. In 2024, none other than Germany’s No. 1, Martin Schindler, put an end to Price’s winning streak and crowned himself the International Darts Open champion. Schindler thus became only the third German ever to win a European Tour event. Can he defend his title?
