Under the current circumstances it will unfortunately not be possible to stage the Hildesheim Darts Gala on December 4. Especially in the case of the Darts Galas, which are exclusively held to offer a great experience to the fans, an event only makes sense if an appropriate number of spectators can participate. This will not be the case in Hildesheim.
It is unlikely at this time that the gala will be made up for next year. But of course the darts fans in Lower Saxony can still get their money’s worth and do not have to go without darts. Because already next Friday the German Darts Championship (September 25 – 27) starts at Halle39, where all the top stars around Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price will be in action. Also next year a European Tour Event will take place at the Halle39. The complete tour calendar for 2021 will probably be announced in November.
For those fans who do not want to miss out on a gala, the Göttingen Darts Gala on December 2 will be a great opportunity. Here Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price, Fallon Sherrock and Max Hopp will provide great entertainment.
“Even though we absolutely wanted to prevent it, unfortunately a cancellation of the event could not be avoided,” said Werner von Moltke, the chairman of PDC Europe. “But we hope that many of the ticket buyers will take the opportunity and convert their tickets into vouchers to redeem them for a darts event in their area”.
Otherwise there is of course also the possibility to have the voucher value paid out according to the current legislation from January 01, 2022.
